Craft show season is sneaking right up on me which means it's time to get creative. I didn't realize how important designing a great booth was until about a year ago. I had done many shows in the past but just threw up some tables and displayed my wares the best I could. I didn't feel like I had the time or space to build something amazing but I was totally wrong.
Fitting everything into my Nissan Sentra was definitely the biggest obsticle. With lots of brainstorming and measuring, I came up with a design that represents my company and who I am. It may have cost some extra cash to pull it together but i'm positive that i've made up for it in additional sales.
An awesome booth can set you apart from your neighbor and your biggest competition. Now it's time to put on my thinking cap and come up with my next great design. Hopefully you'll get to experience it for yourself at one of my upcoming shows.

My absolute favorite thing about sewing is buying new fabrics. It refreshes my mind and brings a whole new excitement to my business. Take a look at a few of my new finds. Alice in Wonderland and Where's My 'Stache are definitely in my top 10. Over the next week or so i'll be adding a bunch of new mitts in these awesome fabrics so make sure to check back.
When I say hot, i'm talking about the design. This ironing board is perfect from head to toe. I haven't had a chance to make it myself but it's definitely on my to-do list.

You can learn how to make it too! Check out www.thesewalongs.com. It's run by my very good friend, Jill. She posts easy to sew projects along with a bunch of other fun stuff. She explains everything so well that even a beginner can be crafty. She even made her own wedding dress. I'm in awe :)
I've recently added a new line of half aprons to my collection and they've been a huge hit! Better known as a clothespin apron, people would use the large pocket in front to carry clothespins while they did their laundry. Now you can put just about anything in there to help you get the work done around the house.
Thanks to the talented Catharine Acurso for taking so many great photos for my new website! Check out the character mitts in action. Once they got a hold of the roller skates, it got a little out of control. Can’t really think of a better way to spend the day though. Riding around in the California sun.
